Seeking Awesome Sports Med & Rehab Specialist for NEW State-of-the-Art Sports Medicine & Surgery Facility in Wisconsin
Are you looking for an amazing opportunity to work with other specialists and develop a sports medicine and rehabilitation program in a brand new, privately-owned, state-of-the-art facility? Midwest Veterinary Specialists is looking for a DACVSMR (or board-eligible) or an experienced canine rehabilitation veterinarian (CCRP/CCRT) to join our team in a new ~9,000 sq ft veterinary surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation center in the Milwaukee Metro area.With stunning facilities and comprehensive modalities we will provide exceptional care for working/sporting and companion dogs to achieve optimal outcomes and allow dogs to live their best lives. Rehabilitation services will also be offered for post-operative patients, pain management, physical conditioning, and geriatric health and mobility.
The rehabilitation gym has been thoughtfully designed to include Aquapaws SS underwater treadmills, a Swimex therapy pool, an Airpaws 200 land treadmill, a ceiling lift and track system for patient mobility assistance, plenty of room for land-based therapies, a private office, and spacious, dedicated rehab kennel and run space. Large expansive windows in the therapy area create a cheerful environment!
Additional therapeutic modalities include PulseVet Propulse Shockwave therapy, K-Laser Cube 4 laser, Assisi loop, PRP and more. Diagnostic modalities include: digital radiography with standing radiograph capability, GE VCT Lightspeed 64 CT scanner, arthroscopy, advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound (with acoustoelastography capability), IDEXX labs, future gait analysis system, future MRI trailer. The hospital will be equipped with cloud based software programs such as EzyVet, VetRadar, PayJunction & Cubex to improve workflow efficiency with critical tools like electronic treatment plans, whiteboards, anesthesia monitoring, billing, and communications with clients and RDVMs.
The ideal candidate will have experience and enthusiasm working with both sporting/working dogs and post-operative ortho/neuro patients and can collaborate to enhance the development of the service in our new hospital. Must be comfortable performing initial evaluations, formulating individualized treatment plans,communicating with referring veterinarians & owners, and training rehabilitation staff.
